The Construction Technology Centre (CTCON) is organising a course on the HEATLAND project on 21 and 22 December, with the aim of giving a practical presentation of the technology used in this new pavement and the possibilities of implementation and technology transfer to other cities.
This is a 20-hour course which will be divided as follows:

- Environmental policy and legislation
- Urban heat island effect: concept, origins and mitigation
- Reflective flooring technology
- Project objectives
- Implementation of reflective paving and project difficulties
- Project results and conclusions
- Replication and mathematical modelling

Multiple-choice test
The theoretical part will take place at the facilities of the Regional Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs of Murcia (FRECOM) while the practical part will be held at the facilities of CTCON and in the Barrio del Infante in Murcia.
The course will be face-to-face and, for health reasons, some parts of the course may be held in online format. The timetable for both days will be from 8:30 to 14:30 and from 16:00 to 18:30.
