Conference "Circularity in the Construction Sector".

The next 18 Junethe Science Park of the Region of Murcia will host the Conference "CIRCULARITY IN THE CONSTRUCTION SECTOR".. This initiative seeks to highlight the importance of sustainability and circularity in a key sector for the economy and the environment.

The day will begin at 10:00h with the inauguration by Antonio Trigueros, who will present the objectives of this meeting focused on the transformation of the sector towards more sustainable practices.

This was followed by Silvia Pérez, from CETENMAThe European Commission will introduce the call for access to the dynamic catalogue of the Observatory on Circular Economy and Business Sustainability. LOOPAhighlighting the innovations and strategies that are being implemented to improve sustainability in construction.

Pablo Candela, from RNCwill open this section by explaining how her company has managed to transform waste into resources. Pilar Hidalgo, from Cementos La Cruzwill detail the efforts made to reduce carbon footprint in raw materials, while Joaquín, of Mundejo Houseswill present the progress in industrialised constructionunderlining its role in sustainability.

The day will also include a networking space and a coffee break, allowing attendees to exchange ideas and establish professional contacts.

The second block of the event will be dedicated to the future of training in sustainability in the construction sector. Roberto Rodríguez, from CTCONwill present the project ERASMUS+ SUSTAINABUILDwhich focuses on training on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in the sector. Marina Sanchez, from CTCONwill address the project ERASMUS+ BIM-LCAfocused on the life cycle analysis in the sector, a key tool for assessing and improving the environmental impact of construction projects.

This day will not only provide knowledge and experience, but will also drive the adoption of innovations that will contribute to a more sustainable future for the construction industry and society at large.

The event is aimed at industry professionals, academics and all those interested in sustainability and innovation in construction, offering a unique opportunity to learn and collaborate in the development of a more environmentally responsible sector.
