In 2018, 10% more consumption was generated, in tonnes, compared to the previous year, reaching 4.6 million tonnes of industrialised concrete products used for construction in Spain.
Both residential and non-residential building have registered very notable increases, +23% and +28% respectively, compared to 2017, although civil works continue in free fall, with a decrease of -14%. Andece called on Spanish public administrations to invest in order to avoid decapitalisation and the dangerous ageing of infrastructures. In this way, it is hoped that political stability will be achieved that will allow this investment to be regenerated.
In Murcia there is an increase of 9%, highlighting a 12% in housing, a 233% in non-residential building and a decrease of -35% in civil works.
