Research and development of new superhydrophobic materials for application in asphalt pavements.

Aim of the project

Objective:

The general objective of this project is to develop new superhydrophobic materials that allow their application in asphalt mixtures, improving the performance of roads in winter. The materialisation of this project will consequently lead to an improvement in the performance and durability of asphalt mixes and, therefore, to significant savings in road maintenance and upkeep costs. The development of the project will achieve the following specific objectives.
