Call for applications for 2021 grants for research and development projects in artificial intelligence and other digital technologies and their integration into value chains.
Companies may be beneficiaries of this aid.
These grants will finance industrial research and experimental development projects related to one of the following digital technologies:
- Artificial intelligence: machine learning; deep learning; neural networks;
- Internet of Things (IoT);
- Massive data and information processing technologies (Open/Linked/Big Data);
- High performance computing;
- Cloud computing;
- Natural language processing;
- Cybersecurity; biometrics and digital identity;
- Blockchain;
- Robotics;
- Virtual and augmented reality, special effects and simulation;
- 3D printing and additive manufacturing.
The granting of aid under this call for applications is governed by the provisions of Order ECE/1301/2019 establishing the regulatory bases.
The budget of the call amounts to €105 million, divided into €50 million for industrial research projects and €55 million for experimental development projects.
With the intensities or percentages of aid indicated in section 4 of the call, industrial research projects with a minimum budget of €500,000 and a maximum of €10 million may be financed. In the case of experimental development projects, the minimum budget will be €300,000 and the maximum €5 million.
The beneficiaries will have to co-finance the remaining percentage.
The application period for these grants is now open and will end on 8 October 2021.
