CTCON, together with the companies CHM Obras e Infraestructuras SA, Vías y Construcciones SA and the Polytechnic University of Valencia, have started the implementation of the AVIF Project, Vibration Attenuation in Railway Infrastructures, financed through the 2015 Collaboration Challenges aid programme of the State Programme for Research, Development and Innovation Oriented to the Challenges of Society, within the framework of the State Plan for Scientific and Technical Research and Innovation 2013-2016, promoted by the Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
The aim of the call for proposals Retos Colaboración is to support cooperative projects between companies and research organisations, in order to promote the development of new technologies, the business application of new ideas and techniques, and to contribute to the creation of new products and services.
The aim of the AVIF project is to develop a new product that, due to its own versatility, is capable of mitigating the transmission of vibrations in any railway system. This will be its main competitive advantage over the products currently on the market, as each of them is only useful in very specific scenarios.
This is precisely the objective of the AVIF project: to design a railway vibration attenuation system capable of adapting to railway vibration attenuation needs in any scenario thanks to its flexibility in adopting different configurations and combining different attenuation mechanisms, both in terms of cut-off frequency and absorption.
