Carlos Carrasco Castillo<\/strong>UCAM student, has been announced as the winner of the Innovative Idea Awards<\/strong> awarded by the Colegio de Aparejadores, Arquitectos T\u00e9cnicos e Ingenieros de la Construcci\u00f3n, together with the Centro Tecnol\u00f3gico de la Construcci\u00f3n de la Regi\u00f3n de Murcia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Guillermo Molina Caballero<\/strong>of Castilla La Mancha, and C\u00e9sar Antonio Jos\u00e9 Calle Moreno<\/strong>from Madrid, will be awarded two honorary runners-up prizes<\/strong> for their ideas on environmental impact, and on the prevention of occupational hazards, respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Murcia, 20 May 2024.<\/strong> The president of the Official Association of Quantity Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers (COAATIEMU) Antonio Luis M\u00e1rmol, together with the director of the Construction Technology Centre of the Region of Murcia (CTCON), Antonio Trigueros, have announced the winners of the first edition of the Awards for Innovative Ideas in Building.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special prize<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The special prize for the best building innovation project<\/strong> The idea of Carlos Carrasco Castillo, a student of the UCAM, is awarded for his proposal \"Human and Machine. The incorporation of exoskeletons in construction\".<\/strong> Construction is one of the sectors with the highest risk of accidents and sick leave: \"The use of exoskeletons has not yet been standardised on construction sites and can prevent many sick leaves\", said Antonio L. M\u00e1rmol, president of COAATIEMU. He also added that this proposal \"can allow the introduction of this technology in the sector and thus reduce sick leave, which has an impact on human and economic resources for companies\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accesit<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Two honorary runners-up prizes were awarded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One has been for Guillermo Molina Caballero (UGR and UCLM Building Degree) for his idea \"SHEIMA Sociedad hispano empresarial de impacto medio ambiente arquitect\u00f3nico AR+ SOFTWARE Positive architectual respect\".<\/strong>. His initiative highlights the creation of databases and the development of algorithms applied to assess the impact of the different construction systems used in buildings and the idea of managing this information through software that allows the environmental impact of buildings to be justified with respect to the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second runner-up prize goes to C\u00e9sar Antonio Jos\u00e9 Calle Moreno (Escuela T\u00e9cnica Superior de Edificaci\u00f3n, Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid) for his project \"Business Feasibility and Optimisation of Productivity and Occupational Risk Prevention in Construction through the Integration of Passive Ergonomic Exoskeletons in the Construction Work Phases\".<\/strong>. This work, unlike the first one, focused on the study of the impact of the technology, but it is not perceived that a development and adaptation to the building is intended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The objective <\/strong>of these Awards has focused on highlighting the talent of Technical Architects and Building Engineers, as well as their contribution to innovation and development in the building sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Antonio Trigueros, president of CTCON, explained that \"a large number of proposals were received from all over the country, as well as being of high quality, which made it difficult for the jury to choose\".<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This awards initiative is part of the existing collaboration agreement between the Murcia Construction Technology Centre (CTCON) and the Official Association of Quantity Surveyors, Technical Architects and Building Engineers of the Region of Murcia (COAATIEMU), with the aim of carrying out actions to promote research and innovation in the field of construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
