The project 'BIM-VET3 Building BIM digital competences in Tertiary VET in the designing and management of construction projects' approved in the call 2020 in the line KA203-Strategic Partnerships in the field of Higher Education, has just started its activity.<\/p>\n
The two-year project is coordinated by the Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Cartagena and, together with the Business Association Centro Tecnol\u00f3gico de la Construcci\u00f3n Regi\u00f3n de Murcia (CTCON), the University of Balikersir in Turkey, Viesoji Istaga Vilniaus, a technical vocational training centre in Lithuania, the Portuguese technology consultancy Atenea Projects and the Instituto Polit\u00e9cnico de Leiria in Portugal.<\/p>\n
The aim of the project is to promote and guide the learning of BIM (Building Information Modelling) methodology in higher vocational students through new pedagogical strategies and a totally innovative curriculum. This project aims to reduce the gap in BIM skills between the university environment and vocational training, using resources and tools that put the higher vocational training student, his or her skills, knowledge and interests at the centre of the strategy. This results in a very innovative and collaborative project where we will introduce gamification, new visualisation technologies such as virtual and augmented reality, etcetera.<\/p>\n
CTCON's role is to identify and generate innovative and attractive training content and resources, as well as to align the training strategy with the needs that the labour market demands of these students.<\/p>\n
The total budget of the project is 228,799 \u20ac and is funded by SEPIE.
