ACEX organises the course 'Introduction to BIM methodology for its use in road maintenance and operation'.

Aim of the project

The objective of the course is to learn to technologically contextualise the BIM methodology -Building Information Modelling-, to know the state of implementation at national and international level, to understand the work process involved in the use of the BIM Methodology in the sector and how the implementation of this methodology can affect the current processes of the organisation.

The integration of new technologies has a fundamental role to play in the search for the efficiency of resources allocated to conservation. BIM is a collaborative working tool that enables the creation and management of construction projects in all their phases, from planning and design, through construction, to the final phase of operation, the longest stage in the life cycle of road infrastructure.

It is necessary to group and organise the information available on the various elements of the road. With the application of the BIM methodology to the care and maintenance of the road, we know at all times the situation of the assets which make up the road (in what state of conservation they are in, their future evolution...), allowing for correct planning and decision making which guarantees the safety of users.

The course is aimed at managers, technical directors and delegates of road maintenance companies and concessionaires and is partially subsidised by the Fundae.
