A UK company that has developed innovative new instruments for the rapid testing of freshly mixed cement and concrete for compressive strength is seeking technical partners under a technical cooperation agreement or research partners under a research cooperation agreement.
The instruments and probe are easy to use on site or in the laboratory and do not require a controlled area. In view of some recent high-profile collapses of concrete structures, the company is looking for partners seeking technology to integrate as a preventive measure.
With respect to the company's existing products, the cement tester has eight parameters that the analysis collects: cement type, density, cement fineness (Blaine), additive size, additive type, water/cement ratio, curing time, curing temperature.
Multiple tests can be performed on the same sample by adjusting the input parameters, which is excellent for R&D purposes for new mix designs. The algorithm then calculates the maximum cement strength for compressive strength.
The concrete tester has ten parameters for freshly mixed concrete: cement compressive strength, coarse aggregate size, sand grain modulus, sand aggregate ratio, slump test result, plasticiser impact, aggregate mineral composition, curing temperature, curing time.
