The Construction Technology Centre and the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) held a meeting this afternoon at the headquarters of the UCAM HiTech, Sport and Health Innovation Hub to set up technology transfer projects between the two institutions.
Antonio Navarro, president of CTCON, Antonio Trigueros, director of CTCON and the coordinators of the four areas of the centre were present. On behalf of the UCAM, Estrella Núñez, Vice-Rector for Research, Luis Tejada, Director of the Office for the Transfer of Research Results and representatives of areas related to technology and construction attended.
The vice-chancellor was in charge of giving a guided tour of the recently opened facilities of the innovation centre. After the visit, Antonio Trigueros gave a presentation of CTCON and the main projects being carried out. "At the moment we have more than 20 projects in which private companies are participating," he said. This was the objective of this first meeting, to lay the foundations for the signing of a University - Company agreement that will allow joint projects to be carried out and UCAM students to carry out internships and Final Degree Projects at the Technology Centre itself.
On behalf of UCAM, the heads of the research areas reported on the projects they are carrying out as well as the objectives of the UCAM HiTech, Sport and Health Innovation Hub for the coming years. In this way, they have agreed to hold future meetings with each area manager to discuss future projects.
