The Spanish Association for Standardisation (UNE) has created the Advisory Commission on the Circular Economy with the aim of highlighting the potential of standardisation as a useful tool for moving towards a new economic model.
The Commission, which will meet twice a year, is configured as a multi-sectoral and transversal dialogue table between the members of the UNE and the Public Administrations, and is made up of more than 40 entities, including Spanish associations, four Ministries (Ministry of Industry, Trade and Tourism; Ministry of Public Works; Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food; and Ministry for Ecological Transition), as well as other relevant entities.
It will define the Spanish position on technical, strategic and governance issues related to standardisation in the field of the circular economy and, in particular, in the following areas the Spanish Circular Economy Strategy.
