Aim of the project

a global construction services development and management company, has published the data from the second edition of its Direct Construction Cost Index. The report reflects a growth of 10,3% in residential building costs during 2018, continuing the financial trend that started in 2015.

The data have revealed a considerable increase in the most characteristic items of the building sector, such as the facadesthe interior partitions or the structure. Within these, the exponential growth of labour costs predominates, the one with the greatest weight on the total, as these are intensive activities, and which is added to a slight increase in the price of materials. On the other hand, glassworks is the activity that has slowed its growth the most, by 1.2% compared to the 25.2% increase in 2017. ACR expects price increases to continue their upward trend in the coming months, with a similar weight to the current one among the different items.
