Call for applications for 2021 grants for research and development projects in artificial intelligence and other digital technologies.
Extract, published in the BOE on September 8, 2021, of the Resolution of the public business entity Red.es, which calls for grants 2021 for research and development projects in artificial intelligence and other digital technologies and their integration into value chains.
These grants, of a monetary nature, will finance industrial research and experimental development projects related to any of the following digital technologies:
- Artificial intelligence: machine learning; deep learning; neural networks;
- Internet of Things (IoT);
- Massive data and information processing technologies (Open/Linked/Big Data);
- High performance computing (high performance computing);
- Cloud computing;
- Natural language processing;
- Cybersecurity; biometrics and digital identity;
- Blockchain;
- Robotics;
- Virtual and augmented reality, special effects and simulation;
- 3D printing and additive manufacturing.
The granting of aid of the present call is regulated according to the provisions of the Order ECE/1301/2019 establishing the regulatory bases. The budget of the call amounts to 105 million €, distributed in 50 million € for industrial research projects and 55 million € for experimental development projects.
With the intensities or percentages of aid indicated in section 4 of the call, industrial research projects with a minimum budget of 500,000 € and a maximum of 10 million € can be financed. In the case of experimental development projects, the minimum budget will be 300,000 € and the maximum of 5 million €. The beneficiaries must co-finance the remaining percentage.
The application period for these grants is open and will end on October 8, 2021.
