The Construction Technology Center (CTCON) organizes, on December 21 and 22, a course on the HEATLAND project with the aim of exposing, in  a practical way, the technology used in this new pavement and the possibilities of implementation and technology transfer in other cities.

It is a course of 20 hours that will be distributed as follows:

COURSE SYLLABUS:

1. LIFE Program               
2. Environmental policy and legislation
3. "Urban Heat Island" effect: concept, origins and mitigation
4. Reflective flooring technology
5. Project objectives
6. Implementación of the reflective pavement and difficulties of the project
7. Project results and conclusions
8. Replication and mathematical modeling

Test type exam

The theoretical part will take place in the facilities of the Regional Federation of Construction Entrepreneurs of Murcia (FRECOM) while the practical part will be carried out in the facilities of CTCON and in the Barrio del Infante de Murcia.

The course will be face-to-face and, for health reasons, some of the parts may be done in online format.  The schedule will be, both days, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and from 4:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
