DigiLab/BE is working on an online educational platform about digital twins in AEC

During the last week of April, the partners of the DigiLab/BE project gathered in Finland to discuss the progress of the project and the creation of a digital platform that enables students and the general public to learn how to create, use, and learn from digital twins in the field of architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC).

The project's goal is to teach the concept of digital twins, how to build them, and turn them into virtual laboratories where creativity can be applied to generate new content and teaching methods.

The project aims to address the specific needs of familiarizing and training AEC students in digital technologies that are transforming the sector, motivating them to develop a critical and creative spirit regarding digital transformation, enhancing their employability, and promoting attractive, inclusive, and accessible education.

The project is funded by Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnerships, which aims to enable organizations to enhance the quality and relevance of their activities, develop and strengthen their partner networks, and increase their capacity to operate together at the transnational level.

The DigiLab/BE project will be divided into six parts, and the results are expected to be reusable, transferable, scalable, and have a strong transdisciplinary dimension. The digital platform they are creating will allow students and the general public to learn in a more modern and effective manner, bridging the gap between education and the professional world in the field of AEC.
