Eiffage Group, CTCON and University of Alicante continue with the tests of the MIXINTERCHANGE project.
Eiffage Infraestructuras operates in the public works and building construction sector, manufacturing aggregates, concrete, mortar and prefabricated products, and manufacturing and laying asphalt asphalt mixes. Since 2018, it has been developing in collaboration with CTCON the MIXINTERCHANGE research project whose objective is to develop new design methods for asphalt mixtures, manufactured at low temperature, with high friction, drainability, soundproofing and structural capacity due to the incorporation of several discontinuous steps in the granulometric spindles, for which different types of aggregate will be used alternately.
A few days ago, the Construction Technology Center of the Region of Murcia, together with the University of Alicante, carried out the acoustic tests on the road as part of the work necessary to achieve the objectives foreseen in the execution of the project.
