Thanks to the Support Program for Technological Centers for the acquisition of scientific and technological equipment for smart specialization, which the Ministry of Business, Employment, Universities, and Spokespersonship published in February 2022, CTCON will be able to acquire equipment to complete its research lines and establish a new research line in Additive Manufacturing in construction.

This new equipment will allow conducting tests for the characterization of cement-based materials, researching and developing new advanced, sustainable, and low or zero-carbon footprint cement-based materials for 3D printing, and implementing Industry 4.0 in the Construction Sector. These grants, published by the Ministry of Business, Employment, Universities, and Spokespersonship and regulated by the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia, are aimed at the technological centers in the Region of Murcia for the acquisition of scientific and technological equipment for smart specialization, co-financed by the European Development Fund. They have awarded a NON-REPAYABLE GRANT to the project presented by CTCON, covering 90% of the eligible investment or expenditure, amounting to 89,977.79 Euros, co-financed up to 80% (i.e., up to 71,982.23 Euros) by the Global Grant from the ERDF, of which the Institute of Development of the Region of Murcia is the intermediary organization.
