PROJECT CAETRA - Dual Technologies Boost Program

The INFO has designed and launched the CAETRA project, a dual-use technology boost program for both civilian and military purposes in the fields of defense, security, and reconstruction.

As part of this program, our colleague Jorge Martínez attended the event for the presentation of the INFO CHALLENGES and CAETRA SERVICES aid programs, chaired by the Mayor of Cartagena, Noelia Arroyo, the Director of the Institute of Promotion (Info), Joaquín Gómez, and the president of COEC, Ana Correa.

During the presentation by the head of the INFO's business innovation department, Antonio Romero, it was detailed that the CHALLENGES CAETRA Program presents challenges that have involved collaboration from the military, emergency services, and the National Police.

The grants offered have a limit of €30,000, and the application period begins on January 23, 2024, lasting for a period of two months.

Eligible expenses cover various aspects, including those related to personnel, allowing subcontracting up to 60%. One financing line focuses on the monitoring of critical infrastructures.

Regarding the award criteria, the technical quality of the proposals, the team's experience, and the company's size will be evaluated. It's noteworthy that, to participate in these challenges, it is not necessary to have a specific certification.

As for the CAETRA services program, it will be launched on April 1, 2024, offering financial support for the certification of companies. For example, the maximum assistance for participating in international tenders reaches €20,000.
