UCAM and CTCON seek to create alliances for technology transfer

The Construction Technology Center and the Catholic University San Antonio of Murcia (UCAM) held a meeting this afternoon at the headquarters of the UCAM HiTech, Sport and Health Innovation Hub to launch technology transfer projects between the two institutions.

Antonio Navarro, president of CTCON, Antonio Trigueros, director of CTCON and the coordinators of the four areas of the center were present. On behalf of the UCAM, Estrella Núñez, Vice Rector for Research, Luis Tejada, Director of the Office for the Transfer of Research Results and representatives of areas related to technology and construction were present.

The Vice Rector was in charge of a guided tour of the recently inaugurated facilities of the innovation center. After the visit, Antonio Trigueros, made a presentation of CTCON and the main projects being carried out. "At the moment we have more than 20 projects in which private companies are participating", he emphasized. That was the objective of this first meeting, to lay the foundations for the signing of a University - Company agreement that allows the realization of joint projects and the realization of internships and Final Degree Projects of UCAM students in the Technological Center itself.

On the part of the UCAM, the heads of the research areas reported on the projects they are carrying out as well as the objectives of the UCAM HiTech, Sport and Health Innovation Hub for the coming years. In this way, they have agreed to hold future meetings with each area manager to discuss future projects.
