Upcoming Seminar: 'BIM's Key Role in Sustainable Construction Certifications and in Next Generation EU Funds' in Granada
The COA - Granada hosts the conference 'BIM key in Sustainable Building certifications and Next Generation EU Funds', organized by BioEconomic, on October 21, at 10 am.
The welcome and presentation will be given by Luis Alberto Martínez Cañas, dean - president of the Official College of Architects of Granada and Sebastià Parera, manager of BioEconomic.
It will be possible to attend different presentations:
- Adaptation to Digital Transformation: An opportunity for the Construction Sector, by Andrés Ferrer Santiago, manager of the CSA Cluster, Sustainable Construction of Andalusia.
- New WELL Health-Safety Rating certification, created by IWBI as a new guide for the safe reopening of offices and other spaces against COVID19, by Bieito Silva Potí, responsible for WELL certification at ITG - Fundación Instituto Tecnológico de Galicia.

It will also be possible to see that the materials used in the project serve as an example to explain the benefits of combining the methodology, in cases BREEAM - LEED - Passivhaus - WELL Building Standard. They make it possible to evaluate and check the environmental impact of a building from the time it is constructed until the end of its useful life. The BIM system allows a quick and precise calculation of all the volumes of materials, which allows to speed up the process and to choose the most suitable ones to be able to obtain the certificates. The process would be much more complex and laborious if the BIM working method were not used.
