Objective of the project

Knowing the real strength at early ages of concrete placed on site is of great interest for the construction sector and for society, given that, at present, in most constructions, the strength is estimated on specimens that are cured under ideal laboratory conditions that may be very different from the conditions on site.

In recent years, methods are being researched and developed to obtain the real strength of concrete on site. This is the objective of this project, in which we propose to investigate and develop a very accurate method for estimating the real strength of in-situ concrete, using non-destructive techniques that can be easily implemented on site.
